Mommy Makeover Surgery in Honolulu, HI

Pregnancy causes many permanent changes to the body.

Overview:

Mommy Makeover is a general term used to cover a package of procedures dedicated to helping mothers get their body back. By getting multiple surgeries at once, you save on anesthesia and service fees and can plan for one stretch of time to take off work and make arrangements for help with household chores and childcare while you recover. We also offer non surgical treatments to target stretch marks and other concerns you may have.

Breasts: "You lose a lot of breast elasticity, so they're not as full as they once were"
Your breasts don’t contain any muscle, however they are attached via ligaments to the muscles of your chest wall. These ligaments stretch during pregnancy and don’t tighten again. This means that your breasts will droop, and they may never be the same shape they were before you were pregnant. These changes happen regardless if you breast or bottle feed. Once you stop breastfeeding, the milk-producing tissue will be replaced by fatty tissue. This can take 6 months or so, but before this happens, they can feel quite empty. It’s best that you support your breast with a comfortable, well-fitted bra.

Tummy:

Diastasis recti is a common condition in pregnant and postpartum people. It occurs when the rectus abdominis muscles (six-pack ab muscles) separate during pregnancy from being stretched. The separation can make a person's belly stick out or bulge months or years postpartum. Excercise can sometimes help to close the gap but surgery is the only real fix. It is highly reccomended for this reason that you wait until you are done having children as another pregnancy would stretch things out again.

Breast Enhancement

Unlike breast augmentations, breast lifts seek to change the shape and position of your breasts rather than the size. This procedure, also known as a mastopexy, is a great way to help you reposition your breasts in a more upright procedure if they have begun to sag from age or after pregnancy. On top of adjusting how your breasts sit, this procedure will also remove excess skin from your breasts, removing unsightly wrinkling or sagging that you can’t fix without surgery. This can be done with or without the addition of implants.

Types of Abdominoplasty

We can perform a complete or partial tummy tuck surgery based on your needs. Complete abdominoplasties are more serious, as we need to cut from hipbone to hipbone to properly contour all the skin, tissue and muscles in the area. Partial tucks can be done for people with more fat below the bellybutton that can be addressed without such major incisions.
